Found it simple enough to use after some trial and error. Needed it to replace instances of a word in lowercase to caps. Did the job! Couldn't work out how to un-bold those words with one click, however.

Hi. We love the promise of this product, but it had many hurdles needing fixing when we went deep with it a year ago. Does anyone know if there is a log of what has been added or fixed in the last 12 months?

You just need to refresh the page and wait for some time. Its possibly caused by your missing network packets at the time of load. Its common for the other add-ons which I purchased from another developer. I reported this to Google and they suggested me with this solution.

Miscounts number of uses. My first attempt still had text selected (from a regular find), and it not only complained about my having had text selected *after* doing its thing, not before, but then, when I corrected this, informed me that I only had 28 runs remaining -- after one run. If you can't figure out where to appropriately do your "i--" and where not to, don't try and sell extensions, mate. Also: Your attitude towards the amateur users is unprofessional. Coming across as a self-satisfied smug knowitall just because you know things they don't may make you happy in your mom's basement but it's not really useful for you out here in the real world.

This shows that you don't know how to use the add-on. Also you made no interest to watch the videos nor contact the developer. You are just saying that the addon complaints about selection. Did you had a little patience to see what's on the dialog? No because you wanted things to be free and no credits to the developer. This shows the idiocy.

Cheers to this developer for adding functionality that honestly should be standard in the otherwise terrific Google Docs. Professionally, this functionality is critical for me. Paying a few bucks after the trial isn't a big deal. The amount of time I save is well worth the 6 dollars, and the developer deserves it for their hard work.

I wanted to do a simple search and replace of one font for another. It couldn't find any text in the font to be replaced. I used a regular expression search of "\(.*\)" and replaced it with "\1", specifying the fonts to be changed. It always said the text was not found.

That's not the way you search for fonts. Just type the Find font with the font name and in the replace font type the replacing font name. You need not enter the search terms or expressions.

It's a scam! I trie and replace "_" text with "_" text (both the of the same font, one underlined) and it *literally* replaced *every* "_" with "_"!!!! (i.e. "______" would be replaced with a single "_" per set of "_"s)!!!! >:O

Looks like you are a novice and no sufficient knowledge. I replicated the same and it works as it is supposed to be. I think you had made no effort to contact the developer. Don't post such comments here. You prove that you are a fool without contacting support. For me the developer was so much helpful and I myself wouldn't have provided such a awesome support if I was at his place. Be sensible!!!

The regex does not work. You only get 30 searches before you have to pay and each time the search function returns a 'not found' counts as a search so you can't trial and error the regex. Waste of time.

Make sure your check the regex supported. There is a info icon in the search box, you will know the list of supported regular expressions. Google has a different library when compared to standard ESMA 6 specification. Try contacting the support, I think Developer can help you solve your use case.
