Overview
When you receive an email containing a link to a Jira Cloud issue, or a Bitbucket Cloud pull request, issue or pipeline, you'll be able to use the Atlassian Cloud for Gmail Add-on to view the latest information about it.

You'll also be able to take actions on the item – such as adding a comment, assigning an issue or merging a pull request – all without leaving your inbox.

The Atlassian Cloud for Gmail Add-on transforms your inbox into mission control, as it:
- Works with any type of email containing links to issues, pull requests or pipelines from Jira and Bitbucket - whether it's an email from a colleague or an Atlassian product.
- Displays rich, up-to-date information about the Jira or Bitbucket work item, such as the current status, assignee, and the latest comments.
- Simplifies your workflows by allowing you to take action from your inbox: add comments, assign and transition issues, merge pull requests and rerun pipelines.
- Works seamlessly across all of your devices, owing to add-ons being supported in the Gmail app.

It won't create jira ticket if mail conversation is big , it shows progress like its creating jira case but after few seconds returns to projects starting point without creating case in jira.

Doesn't work for Bitbucket alone, have to create a Jira account as well.

I accidentally logged in with the wrong google account (one which I don't have JIRA in) and couldn't logout. Not even when uninstall and reinstall the plugin ):

Good concept but the implementation is lacking. It is just so slow that it's faster to perform the tasks in Jira directly.

I can't leave a comment because I need to be able to select who can see the comment, that was the main reason I was considering it.

It’s just too slow (not necessarily Atlassian’s fault--probably has more to do with the limitations of a GMail add-on’s architecture). I would definitely use it if it gave me the ability to “Like” a comment without opening the PR, but doesn’t seem to have that feature. There is not enough screen real estate to see descriptions and comments in their entirety, so an additional click (and unfortunately an additional wait) is required to see the whole thing. Easier/quicker to open the PR in a new browser tab and call it a day. If I were Atlassian I would try to display less information and instead think about what the most useful actions are to take from within email and stick to that. And focus on less clicks/less waiting.
