Overview
Create and track your budget in Google Sheets. Adds tools to track your expenditures throughout the year.
This free add-on allows you to use Google Sheets as a budgeting application.  Setup categories/subcategories for income and expenses, then enter your transactions.  A Expenses tab will allow you to analyze your expenses by category for every month and compare that to your budget.  A summary tab will give you the year in review to see how you are tracking against your budget.

Changed my review because i figured out how to get it to work. It works okay but there is some additional setup you have to do that isn't spelled out in the instructions. In the Add-Ons menu there are options to add sheets for 2019 and to fix the categories drop down menu. Once you do this it seems to work fine, but this should be spelled out in the Setup page.

It looks like it has everything I need - but still is totally unclear. Any advice would be appreciated - I couldn't find anything online except your review.

Its perfect until you get to start putting in your transactions. It shows an error when using the drop down menu for transactions
