Overview
Get Google Forms data in an email message when users submit the form. Send notifications to the form owner, the respondent and to different people based on the form answers. Receive push notifications on your iPhone or Android.
Email Notifications for Google Forms helps you automatically send email messages every time a respondent submits your Google Form. You can email notifications to yourself (the form owner), the form respondent or create notification rules and send emails to different people based on the form answers.

The form notification emails can be customised and you can include any of the form fields (including Quiz score) in the email subject or the email body using the {{form field title}} notation. You can send emails in plain text or use HTML for professional emails.

The Google Add-on can also send push notifications to your iPhone, iPad or Android when a new form is submitted. The mobile notification can include answers to form questions submitted by the respondent.

If you have included any File Upload fields in your Google Form, the email notification will include links to the uploaded file in your Google Drive. Thus you can directly open the files from the email itself without having to find them in the Drive.

Google Forms and Email Notifications can be used by schools and organizations to quickly communicate with parents, students and employees who could be working from home during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

Google Forms Troubleshooting
-------------------------------

If you are not receiving email notifications for new form submissions, please try the following steps:

1. The notification add-ons sends emails through your Gmail account. Thus you need to have the Gmail service enabled for your Google Account.

2. Ensure that your daily email limit is not zero.

3. Ensure that you are not using multiple notification add-ons. Go to your forms' add-on menu and ensure that "Email Notifications for Forms" is available. You can remove other notification add-ons.

4. Go to the add-on menu and choose Restart Add-on. This will reinitialize the email sending triggers for the form.

5. If you have Google Apps for Education or Google Apps (free legacy edition), you would need to enable the Gmail service for your domain.

6. Are are logged into multiple Google accounts in the same browser? Open Google Chrome, go to the menu and choose New Incognito Window. Here open the same Google Form in edit view and try adding a rule.

If you still have issues, send the debug logs from the add-ons menu.

Multiple Notifications Issue

Google Forms Tips:
-------------------

A: If you use Salesforce, Insightly or another CRM, you can redirect all form submission to the CRM with this add-on. Just get the email address for posting leads to your CRM and set up a notification rule that forwards all form responses to that email address.

Works perfectly. Couldn't run our business without this app. I started using the free version in Summer 2018, the paid version since Summer 2019 and just renewed our subscription last week. Not had a single issue in two years. I have 16 Google forms covering service requests for our Operations, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Office Services, Key Control, Horticulture and Pest Control teams over two separate sites. Previously, our service requests came via email, telephone or sticky notes on our computer screens. Requests were sometimes overlooked or lost in our inboxes. The school staff were frustrated with having to make multiple requests to get things repaired or sorted. Now every request is logged and the conditional logic option ensures the request is immediately routed to the relevant team members so we don't miss anything.

Buggy at best. Doesn't work with Chrome so I have to move over to Internet Explorer whenever I want to make edits and it only works about 50% of the time. Very frustrating.

I've had pretty good success with this apps. I manage a group of 40 therapists and we use Google forms for intake forms. Because I create them, I need them to send to the correct therapist, so the add on has been helpful. I'm disappointed with the add on when it comes to utilizing previously created rules on other forms. It would be SUCH a huge feature addition (I would pay more!) to be able to make a rule template and apply it to any forms. It doesn't seem like much of an ask, so I'm not sure why it hasn't been created. I was told it might be considered in a future version, which I took as, "Probably not, but thanks for the feedback." I really hope they step up!

I've used this add-on for years, finding it extremely valuable. I followed your update suggestion response from a previous post and nothing seems to be working. I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the add-on, I've cleared caches, I've reloaded forms and built anew and each time I go to create a new e-mail notification the box in the bottom right hand corner pops up but there's a "Working" note with a circle continuously cycling through without any completion. I certainly hope that a full fix is able to be implemented. This has been a very useful add-on and I would hate to not be able to continue to use it in the future.

I use this add-on almost in all my important business processes. It suddenly stopped working since last evening. However, I now noticed it's started working again. But it's bit scary now considering there is no information/update provided by the provider of the add-on.

Amit's suggestion below isn't working for me. We purchased and tested it last week and it appeared to work fine. Went live this week we have only received a few notifications instead of the 100+ a day we need. I've done all the troubleshooting, deleting/re-creating rules, etc. Nothing works. I submitted a help desk request but have not received even an email acknowledging this. There's no way to check the status because I can't log-in; I try to create an account but it says there is one already. I request to reset my password (because I never created one) and I don't even get an email to do that. I've check my spam, trash, etc. Nothing.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We've investigated the issue and here's what happened. Google introduced some changes at their end that broke all GSuite add-ons which use the Gmail service to send emails. They have pushed a fix and the add-ons seem to be working again. I would suggest that you reload the Google Form, wait for a couple of seconds for the add-on to initialize and it should work as before.

I have just this added this extension to a new Google account and have spent some time trying to get it working, having just paid for a second premium licence. Looking at the thread here I can see there is a problem with the app not with my setup. Please advise when this will be resolved. Such potential with this app but am teetering on going elsewhere. There must be a refund if I have just purchased and the app is not working at all! Otherwise until now I would have rated on the high end.
