Style footnotes.

Overview
Footnote Style allows you to define a style for footnotes just as you can for headings and normal text. Its menu uses the same commands that Docs uses for standard styling.

NOTE: Footnote Style ignores italics, bold, underlining and links. This is because clearing those style attributes from footnotes is undesirable (for example, when a footnote includes formatted references). There is no easy way to tell which text the user wants to stay italicised, for example, and which text to clear italics from.

Works well for quickly styling all footnotes the same, so I wanted to install it on my other account too, but I get a 400 bad request error from the popup window when I try to install it. I've read elsewhere that being logged in on multiple Google accounts at the same time causes this. Is this an intentional feature, Google? Asinine if so.

I can't get this extension to have any visible effect on the document in either Firefox or Chrome. It doesn't look like the code-base has been updated in 6 years. My guess is that Google Docs made some update in the intervening time that broke this extension for most users, which is unfortunate because greater footnote functionality would be AMAZING for Google Docs. There are still some recent users that say it works for them, so feel free to try it out if you need this specific tool, but don't bang your head against a wall trying to troubleshoot. The work-around I use right now without this is to use the footnotes as is, but then highlight the numbers white and insert whatever other text or symbols I want for the footnote, using superscripts when necessary. It's kinda jank, but it serves my purpose.

Despite some reviews pointing in the other direction, the add-on still works. At least for me. I changed the font size for all my footnotes in one go with this add-on.

Format any footnote, then use this app to apply that style to all footnotes. Easy.

I wanted this Add-on to work SO BADLY, but it had no effect on my footnotes. It did not work. My new footnotes appeared in the "normal text" manner, despite my changing the "footnote style" and resetting the default.

This has sped up my paper writing. Without this extension, one has to click on each footnote individually to format them. With this, I format the first one with the font, type size, indent and space after paragraph. Then, with one click, I can make all subsequent footnotes match. Yes! Add Zotero, and you'll be a footnoting machine.
