Overview
formLimiter automatically sets Google Forms to stop accepting responses after a maximum number of responses, at a specific date and time, or when a spreadsheet cell contains a specified value.

Great for time-bound assignments, event registrations with limited seats, or other first-come, first-served signup scenarios.

Easy setup! Just launch, set the limit type, and save:

- Maximum number of responses - Form evaluates on each new submission and shuts off once a limit has been reached.

- Specific date and time - Timer will shut off form on that date, down to the minute.

- Spreadsheet cell value equals - specify a spreadsheet cell (e.g. "Sheet1!A2" in the form destination sheet that must equal a particular value, and the form will evaluate on each new form submission.

Solo le falta poder limitar el tiempo desde que se abre el formulario y sería perfecta.

frustration guaranteed! The app is very buggy and made my life hell for the past 24 hours. It did work for an hour or two, until it decided to copy/paste the conditions i made for 2 of the sections in the form, to the rest of the sections of the form. AND THERE IS NO WAY TO UNDO THAT. So everytime there is a submission of a form, half of the sections reset themselves. I would recommend another round of QA.

I set the form to activate at 9:55am today, and at 10:00am and beyond it would say "This form is no longer accepting responses, and has been set to automatically close by [me]" ... I can't reactivate it and can't figure out how to open the form back up.

How did you set a time to activate? Would love this for quizzes when I am off campus.

You guys and gals are great. I will echo the other reviewers and plead for a time-limit once someone begins the form. ALSO - I would love to limit the amount of responses to a particular username. Instead of limiting to 50 responses total, I would like to limit twice per person/student. Beggars can't be choosers! Thanks!

I need to get responses from a specific list of users . Tried to use the destination cell value option. But it is not available in the limit drop down list. Can I get some help with this?

Would LOVE this if it had time-limit options. For example, 45 minutes once a student has begun.

Great app, but a bit buggy. For example, the survey doesn't close until AFTER the limit has been exceeded. So if I want a cap at 10 responses, I have to put the number 9 in the limit box, because it won't stop until I have MORE than 9 responses. Another thing is that if I set it to stop after 9 responses, but then want to open it again and add a few slots, I have to add at least 2. So If I wanted 11 responses, I can't just add 1 to the max response box, because the survey won't open again. But if you add 2 or more, it opens fine. A fix on these would be great!

Yes, you do still have to set the limit to one number lower than the limit you ACTUALLY want, because for some reason it lets one more sneak in before the limiter actually kicks in. Also, I set it to send the owner (me) an email when the limit is reached. I've tested the limiter probably 6 times now and I haven't receive one email.

I need to do the cluster sampling, and I need the function of "destination spreadsheet cell value." However, I can't find that option any longer. Would you please.. add some options... Set I just want to have 100 people from OH to answer my Q.. I will setup few states in the first page, while someone pick OH in the 1st page, then he will jump to OH page to answer further Q. .. However, while I have 100 people answered my Q, then the OH page will close.

please set a limit to the amount of time a student can take to answer the quiz. otherwise you are doing a good job just perfect it with the aforementioned functionality.

For anyone doubtful because they're not sure what timezone the time limit is going to work on, rest easy: its always set to the timezone of the user setting the script. So far in all my tests(1 time), the app does what it says it'll do.

"...rest easy: its always set to the timezone of the user setting the script." I somehow understand it would be more useful if there was an option to set for the timezone of the user SUBMITTING the form. This way it could be (in a variety of scenarios) used for distant learning as well.
