formLimiter shuts off a Google Form after a max number of responses, at a date and time, or when a spreadsheet cell equals a value.
Works with:
10,000,000+
Overview
formLimiter automatically sets Google Forms to stop accepting responses after a maximum number of responses, at a specific date and time, or when a spreadsheet cell contains a specified value.

Great for time-bound assignments, event registrations with limited seats, or other first-come, first-served signup scenarios.

Easy setup! Just launch, set the limit type, and save:

- Maximum number of responses - Form evaluates on each new submission and shuts off once a limit has been reached.

- Specific date and time - Timer will shut off form on that date, down to the minute.

- Spreadsheet cell value equals - specify a spreadsheet cell (e.g. "Sheet1!A2" in the form destination sheet that must equal a particular value, and the form will evaluate on each new form submission.

You guys and gals are great. I will echo the other reviewers and plead for a time-limit once someone begins the form. ALSO - I would love to limit the amount of responses to a particular username. Instead of limiting to 50 responses total, I would like to limit twice per person/student. Beggars can't be choosers! Thanks!

I'm having same issue as previous review. Have installed add-in, but cannot get it to start... just keeps trying to load. Have also tried on multiple computers.

Great app, but a bit buggy. For example, the survey doesn't close until AFTER the limit has been exceeded. So if I want a cap at 10 responses, I have to put the number 9 in the limit box, because it won't stop until I have MORE than 9 responses. Another thing is that if I set it to stop after 9 responses, but then want to open it again and add a few slots, I have to add at least 2. So If I wanted 11 responses, I can't just add 1 to the max response box, because the survey won't open again. But if you add 2 or more, it opens fine. A fix on these would be great!

This has been very useful for my job, when I need to close a survey at midnight and I obviously don't want to have to wake up to do that. I was pleasantly surprised by the email function, since this reminded me about the form itself. Basically, I set this three weeks ago, forgot about it, and formLimiter did its job and reminded me to do mine. Would highly recommend!

frustration guaranteed! The app is very buggy and made my life hell for the past 24 hours. It did work for an hour or two, until it decided to copy/paste the conditions i made for 2 of the sections in the form, to the rest of the sections of the form. AND THERE IS NO WAY TO UNDO THAT. So everytime there is a submission of a form, half of the sections reset themselves. I would recommend another round of QA.

Really like being able to turn it off - but would also like to be able to turn it "on" at a set point. This way I could set it up before hand to only be active during certain class periods.

Love this idea. Super easy to use! This is especially useful for permission forms and quizzes. I love using Google forms, this just made it that much better.

I attempted to use the functionality which checked the value of a particular cell in a linked spreadsheet. Everything seemed to setup ok but when the limit was passed, nothing happened. So it may work for date-time or number of submissions, but not for value of a cell.

Fantastic add-on for specific time and date, as well as Max #. Super easy set up. I'm still looking for an add-on that will enforce a specific time limit. ie. student begins test at 12:09 and has 45 minutes to complete the test. At 12:52 the user is reminded they have only 2 minutes to submit the remainder of their test.

It's unstable, I've tested to set an order sheet, made another page in the repons form that count. Everything seems ok, but it don't stop the Sheet. Have tried a few times and got it to work once, but when I deleted responces and tried again, it didn't work anymore. "Current cell value: 35", and limit is set to 30, still works...
