Recycle form questions from a Form in your Google Drive to the current Form. A great use case for teachers with Test banks!

Did you ever want to just reuse a few questions from a Form in your Drive? Now you can, just pick the Form in the popup window and it will populate with the questions from that Form. It even will show you which questions were required in the original form and make them required in your new one! Select the ones you want to insert and the formRecycler will automagically insert them at the end of the Form!

Now also supports Team Drives and will recycle quiz questions preserving the point values. It will not recycle embedded images or section headers right now.

I would love this add-on if two things could be improved: 1) the answers to the questions (from the original form) should come in with the questions (to the new form), 2)I want to be able to pull in questions from one form in one section, and then from another form in a separate section, (and so on). I can see Madge had similar concerns. Any chances this will get updated? (I will be a big fan and tell others about this add-on if this can happen.)

Hi Trina, currently there is no API to allow programatically add answers to Quizzes.

I love this add-on but I wish it could do a little more. I would like to use it to create a test bank of questions in multiple Google Forms. When I create a quiz, I would like to recycle the questions. However, I loose any attached images, point value assigned, and the correct 'quiz' answer. Are there any plans to upgrade this add-on to work with Google Forms quiz features?

Hi Madge, currently there is no API to allow programatically add answers to Quizzes that Google will allow.

I love the idea and it seems to work with most questions. However, when I re-use a simple Choice Eliminator question with times just listed as 9:00, 9:30, 10:00 etc, it changes the format to GMT and adds a date, December 1989, to each answer.

Hi Jennifer, can you share the Form with me? It might be based on the way Choice Eliminator creates the time questions.

I like the concept and so far seems to be working. Any chance of also pulling in any validation settings that have been created for each question?

Hi Trevor, Thanks I have implemented required questions for the next distribution but there is no Google Apps Script method for validation settings...sorry!
