Overview
GoFileDrop provides file drop functionality for Google Drive.

Files uploaded with GoFileDrop can be automatically shared with users and groups.

Files can be automatically uploaded to a specified Folder.

Brand your GoFileDrop Application with your own Company Logo.

With GoFileDrop you can now let the people you work with securely "Drop" files directly into your Google Docs account.

Think of GoFileDrop as a mailbox (or post box if you are in Europe) to your Google Docs account, the sender has NO ACCESS to your Google account, files deposited in your account are only accessible to you as the owner.

When files are "dropped" in your Google Docs account via GoFileDrop you will receive an email which allows you to directly open the file in your Google Docs account.

Google Docs is the premier Application for managing and sharing the files you work with every day - now it's easy to use Google Docs as your personal FileDrop Application.

Free version can upload files up to 3 MB per file - pro version can upload files up to 3 GIG per file and allows you to embed the upload control in your website / blog.

It worked for a few weeks. Now it pops up where I embedded it on my website that it is only available to subscribers. It worked fine for awhile, and now it is asking for money. The documentation to find out what is going on with the tool is non-existent. It says free forever on the marketplace, and now says I must pay for it. I guess I have no-idea what is going on.

I thought this was going to be a slick system! Unfortunately, GoFileDrop's incredible lack of documentation makes it impossible to determine whether or not this utility will work for you before you go through the steps of installing. First, it appears the free version limits you to a max file size around 3MB. I couldn't find documentation to that affect, I had to test it by trying a bunch of files. Second, if I hit the "Upgrade" link in the upper left corner, it just tells me how much it costs and asks for money. I have no idea what I will gain by upgrading (i.e. I don't know if this would eliminate the file size restrictions, or simply increase the allowed file size to some other limit, such as one imposed by Google?). So, I installed it and then because I didn't know about the limitations, it created problems for me. Then when I decided to look at the upgrade cost to evaluate whether it was worth it, there was no information to evaluate. They've created a neat utility, but it really isn't functional if you need it for large files. For me, large file transmittal was the point.

I'm using it for a school project where 150 children collaborate with an author to write a book. I am using the embedded form to let the kids upload their inputs to the story directly into the google docs account that the author is using to write the book - making it possible for the kids to see their own suggestions going in to the story, in real-time. GoFileDrop was by far the easiet and best solution for this project!

GoFileDrop is the easiest, most intuitive file sharing service we've found. We've embedded GoFileDrop on our website as a document sharing service for our mid-sized association. Members, many of whom do not have Google Accounts, can access our webpage and immediately begin sharing files to our resource clearinghouse without lengthy email exchanges, wasteful up/download times, or special technical know-how. Shared files are automatically uploaded to the assigned account, placed in the designated Google Docs folder, and shared with the folder's collaborators. Overall, the ease of use encourages greater sharing, while the slick automation creates substantive time savings for our staff. This is a great product with helpful improvements regularly released. One thing we're hoping to see on the product roadmap, however, is the integration of sharers' identifying info (helpful if shared docs don't include such info, and/or lots of docs from various contributors are uploaded frequently.

We are a printshop requiring an easy method for customers to upload artwork. Using a combination of Google Forms, Google Sites, GoFileDrop (in an iframe), and Google Docs we have replaced our FTP based uploads at a fraction of the cost. Also, the developers have been very responsive on any issues.
