Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but in the old Avery label mail merge add on I could choose a different tab in the same google doc, but with this it only imports the information from the first tab. Is there a way to choose the 2nd or 3rd tab? If not, then it gets zero stars from me.

Hello Kyle, Sure you can choose which tabs to select data from. When selecting a spreadsheet, there is a dropdown menu from which you can choose where the data will be pulled from. If you need help, you can contact us through the forum linked in the description. Thanks for using Labelmaker.

Clean interface and really easy to use. I used it to print Avery 5160 labels and it worked well. You can ask for more labels using the forum. But so far all the labels that I use are available. Will recommend this tool internally.

I don't know of any modern business that maintains its mailing list contacts list in a spreadsheet. A label mail merge routine that doesn't start with data exported from a contact list and imported into a spreadsheet without editing isn't really practical for a small business. This is a poor substitute for what Microsoft does natively and easily with Outlook, Word and Excel using Avery labels. Starting with Google Contacts data exported as Google CSV or Outlook CSV, imported into Google Sheets and saved as Sheet format. 1.The sheet must be edited to delete the majority of the columns 2. Each column to be used must have the field renamed to have a continuous name like "abcdefgh" and the sheet closed. 3. Then the Docs addin can be used once. There is no provision to save this as a template 4. This must be repeated every time there is a new list to print. It works, but is not worth the the effort.

Hi, I'm pretty new with this tool, but so far I kind of like it. It's really close to what Microsoft proposes (with less labels ofc). On your issues: (3) I create the labels right from Google Sheets. No need to close the spreadsheet. It provides a link to the Google Docs once the labels are ready. (4) Each time I open the tool, the previous merge is displayed. (1) & (2), my spreadsheet has 20 columns and lots of rows. It works ok. But I didn't try with bigger sheets TBH

The mail merge process is the exact same as Microsoft Excel. It can still be improved for sure, however, this workflow is used by thousands of businesses successfully over the world.
