Overview
Send randomized quizzes to students from a question bank you create in Forms. Students retake until mastery!
Mastery learning is the teaching strategy and philosophy that students must achieve a level of mastery (e.g 90% on a test) in a content area before moving forward to subsequent information. If a student does not achieve mastery, they are given support in learning and tested again. This cycle continues until the learner accomplishes mastery. Mastery Quiz is a Google Sheets Add-On that combines Google Forms, Classroom, Gmail, and the philosophy of Mastery-based learning!

With this Add-On, distribute randomly generated quizzes to each student in a Google Class, drawing from any question bank you can create in Google Forms. Students will see their quizzes appear on the Google Classroom. If a student does not score high enough, they are sent a new, randomized quiz to try again! This cycle continues until the student achieves mastery.

All you have to do is create a question bank and hit send! No grading, re-writing tests, scheduling retakes, or losing papers!

Teachers can choose any Google Forms question bank in their Drive! Can include images for questions by placing them immediately before the question in the question bank. Teachers can also choose how long each quiz is, and what scores counts as passing according to a 4-point scale.

With a question bank of 20 questions, using randomly generated 6 question quizzes, students have less than a 0.0005% chance of getting the same quiz again!

Mastery Quiz is a valuable tool for any teacher who believes in Mastery learning!

So easy to use! Its such a game-changer for using google forms quizzes. I love that you can kick quizzes back to students to retry them. You can also see how many times a student tried a quiz, which you can share with parents and counselors as evidence of how much work they are putting into the class.
