Merge Values
Combine columns, rows, or ranges of data and preserve original values.

Works with
This add-on will become your best assistant for merging values in adjacent cells. Three simple settings let you decide if you want to combine multiple columns or rows, pick the delimiter for the records, and choose a place for the results.
-	Join values horizontally, vertically, or bring all records from the selected range into one cell
-	Add results to the existing values or as a new column or row
-	Merge cells without losing your data: you can avoid the standard problem of “Keeping data only in the top leftmost cell” and retain all your records while removing borders between them
-	Skip blanks, wrap text, and choose other additional options that tailor the results to your needs.

Besides, there is a special option that creates a backup copy of your sheet in case you want to keep it the way it was. You can set up the process in under a minute and concatenate data in seconds.

What's new?

Had high hopes this would solve my problem of how to easily mail merge a table from Sheets into Google Docs but as I soon found out; all currencies default to being $ (I live in the UK,) and, dates are reformatted to US mm/dd/yyyy format and the time in EAT is added, plus, after it has merged the cell the cell size is increased to over double what it needs to be. The only work around i found was to copy and paste the cells I needed to merge (as values) then format the dates and currencies to text. then do the merge then use the Google menu item 'demerge cell' to restore each cell to a size appropriate to the data in it. At least I found all this out without having to pay but unless I am told I am not using the app correctly I am very unlikely to buy it.

Hello, Roger, Thank you very much for your feedback. We were able to reproduce the problem with currencies and dates, and our developers will try and fix that. As for the cell size, everything works correctly on our side. Could you please email us to with your example data, the screenshot of the options you select in the add-on and of the result you're getting? We'd appreciate if you could assist us in locating the cause of this problem. Thank you.
Missing the option to "Separate values with:" nothing = no space, no semicolon. All combined. We're using this on rows of code generation, and the spaces between cells are what we were hoping to get rid of with your tool. No such luck.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Nadja. If you delete the delimiter offered by the add-on using your keyboard (Delete key), your records will be merged without any separators and spaces. :)

Great add on and really efficient for when I need to use it. The fact that I can only use it once a day without the subscription is really annoying. This add-on should no be listed as free when it's really not.

Hello there, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please specify where you saw that the add-on is free? You see, we put the info about the subscriptions everywhere we could. If you mean the "free" button you click when installing - this is merely Google button for all add-ons in sheets no matter their distribution policy. If we forgot to place the pricing info somewhere, please let us know so we could fix that. Thank you for your time!

Main sheet size is 15,000 rows, lookup is 150,000 rows and it seems to error out every time. I have had it work on smaller data sets so I gave it a 3.

I don't think it's fair that you can only use it once a day. Especially when it doesn't work the first time.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Ryan, I'm sorry, but we can't affect formatting at the moment. The format of the destination cell is always applied to the results.

Worked GREAT the first time I tried it but on the second doc I tried, it missed some cells and the merge add-on menu won't open again. Hope it comes back -- I was thrilled before that turned to disappointment.
