fake downloading options. All the work I put for nothing... just so I will end up downloading empty file.

It was not said upfront that there was a cost involved - even at $5 per month this product is not worth it. I already have access to six free or single purchase mind mapping tools. Having a subscription is of no value to me.

awesome... just... awesome, excellent sync, fast, efficient :) If they allow linking of dynamic lists (address book connected to GMail) and task planning (like multitask webapp), this could become the greatest web app to manage processes and business planning even without that A++

This was a perfect mode for my students to work in and create mind-maps as a unit assessment tool. The presentation/slide possibilities made this the ultimate tool for my needs. The students easily problem solved and created outstanding maps! LOVED THIS!

Needs a subscription to undo? Accidentally deleted a node and had to redo everything! Pity because software is pretty good otherwise; but cannot recommend anyone using the free version seriously until there is some way to recover lost data.

"Cloud" mind map with full features.... unless "Cloud" with more than an hour not sync and no warning when page get closed/redirected... Thus, never use it unless you have a lot use time to waste.

The way MindMeister syncs between all my IOS devices and then opens up inside google apps allows me to keep track of ideas. There are some great mapping tools, of the ones I have used in the last 15 years this one works best for me. The I'd give five stars if the task option synced with google tasks rather than just a calendar feed. More than worth the few £ subscription a month!

Eghh... It was ok. In my quest to find a mind-map software that I could use on a chrome book to help me keep track of an follow plot lines, I tried 3; MindMeister, LucidChart, and MindMup. MindMeister and LucidChart require you to pay for a variety of things. Lucid chart limits how complex you can make your map(the number of bubbles and branches) and MindMeister limits how many maps you can make(3). When you need mindmaps for many projects of varying complexity, when you are trying to make a plot line with character details and notes for each chapter, or you are learning how mindmaps work, this is a problem. If it had been a one time purchase, I might have gone for it. But these are monthly charges. as someone who might abandon a project for months or years at a time, and then come back to it with new eyes and ideas, this is a problem. I want to have all my material ready. I don't want to look back and have spent 100$ a year just to keep my maps from poofing into nothing. MindMeister was not satisfactory and I am looking for a way to get it off my linked apps. I ended up going with MindMup. It's free, no limits on how many maps you can make or how complex you can make it, and fairly intuitive once you catch on to it. It is completely functional at a basic level and even has a few advanced capabilities, like linking a doc to a specific bubble(super helpful for making chapters).

LOVE THIS APP!!! First off let me say to all those that think 3 mind maps is not enough, YOUR CRAZY! I created one very large mind map before I even knew about the limit. Now, I have a primary mind map and one that is a spin off that I use daily for now. Haven’t decided on the 3rd yet. Next, FREE vs PAID... 3 mind maps is plenty, BUT, if you need more, then yes you should pay. Just think of the space you are using on their network (cloud or otherwise) in saving these. Not to mention if you have say 20. Overall, I love this app. I will become a paid member not because of reviews. I will pay for the privilege of using the only great app I have found for my purposes at this time. Plus #1: Its SUPER easy to break-down a large mind map into smaller ones. This is not a feature I have found in the other mind mapping apps available for Andriod devices. Plus #2: Easily accessible. Since I have Google on everything I use daily, it is easy to just open and update when/where needed. Although, I do not like the fact that the calendar sync function is a paid feature. Plus #3: Great price for a beginner. I would suggest a online standalone (or desktop) version for someone more advanced or extremely serious about mind mapping. Even at $5.99 it can get costly, over $70/per yr. However, to each their own. Lastly, glitches and systems issues can never be avoided. So far, since I have started using this app, I have not experienced any problems. That doesn’t mean I will never. I am sure there are going to be times when something fails beyond anyones control. Its just a fact of life. In the world of software, apps included, unless the developers know your grievances, there is nothing they can do to fix them. Giving an app 1 or 2 stars because you experiences a little glitch is silly. Email the developer first.

I have been using MindMeister for 8 years now, pretty much since their beginning. Overall I think the service is really excellent. We now use it extensively at my own company to plan sprints and to create wiki mindmaps summarizing the most important current facts about our business and operations. The combination and integration with Google Drive is very helpful and makes searching things easier for us. While the iOS apps were not that great in the beginning, they work quite well now. One comment about the pricing: As the owner of another software company myself, I have to point out that the pricing is fair. If you use MindMeister right, it will be very valuable for you and it contains many features now which need continuous development and maintenance. MindMeister has been an essential tool for me for many years which I can't think of leaving. I hope that in the future there will be more APIs and integration with other apps.
