Easily and quickly make rubric selections and convert the Analysis or Holistic rubric into a percentage or points grade. Teacher Rubric is an add-on that will increase your grading productivity and it professionally presents a scored rubric and grade for your students. Google docs and Classroom are fantastic applications to create, distribute and receive submitted assignments from students. However, the grading process seems to bring the efficiency to a screeching halt. Where can the grade be placed so it stands out from the assignment? How can rubric selections be made easily? I like rubrics but the final grade can be tedious to calculate. It takes too many highlights, clicks and time to format grades on 125 submissions. OrangeSlice: Teacher Rubric increases the teacher’s grading productivity by eliminating repetitive clicks, presenting the rubric selections in an easy to use format and presenting the final grades in a consistent, professional format. More time is created for the teacher to provide the needed constructive feedback their students need for success.

I happened to discover this Add-on by chance and it wowed me! I have spent so much time creating rubrics that the idea of creating another one on my own makes me sick. This tool looks like I can customize my own rubric for a variety of tasks, even small ones, without frustration. I love the fact that I can track student writing over the course of a semester. I wonder how this might coordinate with Google Classroom. Great tool!

I love this Add-on. I really appreciate the attention to detail with the ability now to track student growth over time (when re-assessing progress). This will work really well with projects that are revised over time or for key concepts and skills that are repeatedly assessed for mastery over numerous projects over a semester. Thank you. I would love the additional functionality of pushing the category subdivisions to a spreadsheet - that would be so helpful to pull into a data analysis tool.

I was really impressed with Orange Slice at first. I created several different types of rubrics and just pasted them into my students google classroom assignments...CTRL V. However, I made one recently with 4 categories, each with 0-4 points. Orange slice will not acknowledge the column with zero points and figure it in with the other categories. So all my scores are wrong. Anyone else encounter this?

Easy to use for both teachers and students. I wish the application automatically generated data in a spreadsheet for each assignment graded.

I love using this add-on once I get everything open/set up. But I wish it were just a bit more fluid to use with Google Classroom. My wishlist includes: -Being able to just move to the next student document without having to close my tab, open a new document, enable the add-on, etc. -Having a way to temporarily (at least) store a rubric so that I don't have to copy it into the student's document each time. I realize that I can solve the issue by simply including a rubric before pushing out the assignment, but there are times when I'm not sure which item I will grade students on, or sometimes we only grade a few questions out of a set. This is not an essential upgrade, but if it's feasible, it would be helpful. Thank you for all the work you have already put into this product. It's such an amazing start, and it helps me to be consistent when looking at student work.

Just played with this add-on and shared it with a teacher. Works really well for the most part. The only issue that I've found so far is that if a Doc already has a table, the add-on will error.

I love using this with my classes for all things rubric related! I just presented Orange Slice at an Edtech GAFE Summit today! The session was great! Now, here's my plea. Can you create this add-on for grading Slides presentations? I know Goobric + Doctopus works with Slides, however I find that entire system incredibly cumbersome. I would love an Orange Slice rubric option that I could add to a new slide and have the program run exactly the way it does!

This is a great tool that saves times for teachers when grading essays. I love how I don't even need to build the rubric within orange slice. All I need to make sure of is that is says "Rubric Categories" in the upper left hand cell. I only wish it could do weighted rubrics. Sometimes I like certain rubric categories to be different points than others. Will this feature be on any future updates?

I LOVE this - just curious - what are your work arounds for group projects? I would love if there was a feature that allowed you to customize this rubric so you could effectively grade (lets just say) a group of 4 students on the same project. I like to reserve a section of the project grade for presentation and would love it if I could vary that based on each student presenting (instead of having to create 4 separate rubrics).

I am so sad!!! I used this add-on exclusively to grade students' essays. It has disappeared from Google. Where did it go? Please Please Please bring it back!
