Text toolkit utilities are also included and let you change case, add and remove strings and characters, trim whitespaces, and split text to columns.

What's new?
We introduced yearly subscriptions, you can still enjoy a fully-functional trial version of the add-on for 30 days.

New features:
- Split Date & Time. Separate cells containing 'Date time' values into columns with only 'Date' units and 'Time' units.
- A couple of new options were introduced into Function by Color:
    1. Fill your result cells with colors of the pattern cell used for calculations.
    2. Quickly check and change formula colors and calculation ways with the 'Edit selected formula' option.

- Function by Color:
    1. The add-on was redesigned and moved to the sidebar completely.
    2. You can now count not only by both fill and font colors but by one of them: either font or background color.
    3. Additional palettes let you pick text and background colors without the color-picker tool.
    4. Combine several valueByColor functions into one formula to calculate the common result for several colors.
- Merge Sheets, Remove Duplicates: the width of the status column now expands automatically to fit its contents.
- Multiple Vlookup Matches: informs if there are no matches in the range.
- Split Names: new columns with split name parts borrow the formatting from a source column.
- All add-ons:
    1. Auto select the entire range by clicking the gray rectangle between column and row headers.
    2. Minor UI improvements.

- Merge Sheets: worked endlessly if cells with Data validation rejected input due to Data validation settings.
- Remove Duplicate Cells: couldn't insert the result if an entire column was selected as a custom location.
- Combine Sheets: processed and combined empty ranges.
- Combine Sheets, Consolidate Sheets: threw errors about incorrect ranges even if the sheet was not selected.
- Function by Color:
    1. COUNTBLANK didn't count empty yet colored cells.
    2. Blank cells were part of the result for COUNTA and AVERAGEA.
    3. Sorting didn't work with our formulas.
- Multiple Vlookup Matches: auto populated the field with a destination cell after clicking the 'Preview result' button
- Remove Spaces: didn't allow to remove leading/trailing spaces and to reduce spaces between words to one at the same time.
- Freeze Panes: didn't work if there were merged cells on the way.
- Add-ons that combine data added only up to 10 files from Shared Drive.

New features:
- Multiple VLOOKUP Matches. Do a quick vlookup across multiple columns and find all matches from all directions based on numerous criteria.
- Consolidate Sheets. Summarize records from several spreadsheets based on their position or common headers.
- Quick Dedupe. This one-step tool will instantly find and eliminate duplicates in your table. It colors and deletes, copies and moves dupes to a new sheet, as well as marks them in a status column.
- Split Sheet. Split one table into multiple sheets by columns.
- Merge Sheets: you can not only update your existing main table but also merge tables in a new spreadsheet.
- Auto-start is now available. Pin the button at the very bottom of the add-on and it will run automatically in each spreadsheet.

- UX: the tool auto-detects the range to process better now. It highlights only the table where your cursor stands rather than an entire used range.
- UI changes: text hints are replaced with images – schemes that show how settings work. Each option has an "i" button next to its name. Click on it to open a related scheme within the add-on.
- Some tools changed places:
    1. The Text group now contains all add-ons for text editing: the former 'Text' utilities (Change case, Replace, Polish text) are now part of the 'Modify' group. 'Add' now has its own icon next to 'Remove'. 'Split' and 'Split Names' can also be found in the Text group.
    2. The Split group still has 'Split Text' and 'Split Names' in it. One more add-on is coming soon: Split Date & Time.
    3. The Process group will handle your data with new Multiple VLOOKUP Matches and well-known Function by Color and Advanced Find & Replace.

- Unpivot table.
- Find and replace: new type to look in — Errors. Now you can perform a search in errors.
- Text: Polish text. A single click and the add-on will delete extra spaces, add spaces after punctuation marks, and apply “Sentence case.” for all cells with text within the selected range.

- Range selector UX. If you had a slow Internet connection or server response, you could get an incorrect range. We've significantly reduced that possibility.
- UX. The add-on will offer the most possible actions and warn about possible mistakes and lags. Special thanks to Chris Cobian for the idea about the default "Add to the end" action for unique columns in Merge Sheets.

This is a great tool that makes merging, splitting, formatting and cleaning up data a breeze. Allows me to avoid having to write a bunch of formulas to achieve what I need which saves time and brainpower. Also, excellent support. I ran into an issue with my subscription and it was fixed in about two minutes. Thanks!

The product is the best add-on and the service support is really amazing. They are responsive and very helpful. This is really a must-get app for google sheet users. I hope they will have remove empty rows features as well and to preserve formula once sheets is combined.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Kentaro! Power Tools already has an option to remove empty or unused rows from your table. You will find it in the Clear group. We are also working on the feature to keep formulas in the combined sheet: stay tuned :)

I've been using a similar tool for Excel. I was glad I found one for Google Sheets. Ablebits' Google Sheets Power tools is a huge time saver. I liked so much I went with the lifetime license. The trial period should give you a deep appreciation of its functionality.

I have found that I use Power Tools more all the time. Now, I am at the point that I don't know how I would do my job without it. Furthermore, I keep finding more cool things I can do with Power Tools. I suppose for most of the functionality, I could find a way to do it manually and create macros. Actually, for a lot of the functionality, I am sure someone could find a way to do it manually, but I'm not sure I could. Power Tools is truly one of the best returns on investment of any software tools that I have bought, and for what you get, it is actually an extremely tiny investment. I know I sound like an advertisement for Power Tools, but I have never been paid by Ablebits, or even met anyone that works there. I'm just a fan.

The app is super helfpul when working with Google sheets. Instead of using the formulas I use the addons, that speeds up my work significantly. The support is amazing as well. They respond within minutes and handle your issues with professionalism and care. Thank you!
