Does not work. After installing and signing in I only get error messages and citing doesn't work.

The software is absolutely unreliable. It was the first to work with GDocs but it annoys me all the time with various problems. Worst of all, references are getting lost in the text. They still appear in the text but do not exist in the reference list.

After 56 citations, it stopped working and I have to now waste time redoing it all manually. Do not ever bother with refworks!

Refworks as a website and this add on are both incredibly painful to use. In fact I got so frustrated I landed writing the references myself because neither the website nor this add on were able to function for more than 10 seconds without having some kind of error. I would rather use citethisforme and then edit event though it's so flawed. Dont waste your time on this. Sadly I have to use this because this is the software my institution uses. If you are considering it for your own institution I would not recommend it in that case either.

It's flexible and free. I have used it for almost a year, and have not had problems.

I like it because the size of icons is much bigger than Mendley and much easier for me to use it.

In addition to many citation format options, Refworks allows you to go into the metadata and create personalized rules. This makes refworks very flexible.
