Overview
Use Texthelp’s Highlighting Tools to highlight key areas of your document to collect, group, and learn from later. Simply select and highlight the desired text and click “Collect Highlights” to extract it and place it in a new document (by color or location) for students or educators to review.

Used by educators in the classroom to help students identify and group key facts together, indicate new words to learn, or collect research to assist with studying. Texthelp’s Highlighting Tools are great for all content and grade levels.

Never used Highlighting Tools before? Give them all a try for free for 30 days. After 30 Days, you can continue to use one color highlighter and can collect and clear highlights. To keep using all four color highlighters, you can purchase a subscription to Read&Write for Google, a comprehensive set of reading, writing, and studying support tools for Google Docs, Web, PDFs, and ePubs. Read&Write for Google is available in the chrome store.

I do not like this app because if you want to undo what you just highlighted, you have to delete all highlights. I really don't get the point of collecting the highlights, too.

Would be better with more colors. The only useful thing in it is the 'collect all highlights' option. Google docs already has a highlighting option, so this is a bit pointless.

Great tool until your 30 days are up and then all you have is the yellow highlight option. Too pricey for teachers to use for classes.

Really enjoyed this Add-On until it closed off all colors but yellow. How do I pay for more colors?

All the colours are only available for 30 days, then only yellow is available. You could have a look the Read&Write for Google Chrome extension which has all the highlighting colours included for 30 days, this can be purchased.

Doesn't work in Chrome, painfully slow in Safari. Would not recommend... -.-

Make sure your Chrome version is up to date. It is designed to work with Google Docs.

You can only highlight one group at a time then you have to close it and reopen if you move around in your document.

I loved this add-on until I had it for a while and the colors went away and left me with just yellow. There is also a glitch currently which is making the highlighting tools just not show-up all together. The creators of this basically trick you because they give you colors and a great add-on and then take it away. Don't let this stop you from getting it, however be prepared for it to let you down.

Solves a gross oversight in Google Docs: the ability to quickly highlight. It can be slow in large documents. Contrary to reviews here, you CAN remove a mistakenly highlighted passage, but you must do it through the standard Google Docs interface. To make it fast: 1) Highlight a section of normal text in your document and right click to "update 'Normal Text' to match". 2) Select an erroneously highlighted passage and press Ctrl- \.
